Product Description

Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (Sustained Release), Voglibose 0.3 mg and Glimepiride 1 mg Tablets IP are a combination of three antidiabetic medicines used to help control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is generally prescribed when diet, exercise, or single medicines do not provide adequate blood glucose control.

Uses

  • Helps manage type 2 diabetes mellitus

  • Helps control fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels

  • Supports better overall blood glucose control along with diet and exercise

How It Works

Metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release insulin, while Voglibose slows carbohydrate digestion and helps reduce the rise in blood sugar after meals.

Benefits

  • Helps maintain better blood glucose control

  • Acts through multiple mechanisms to manage diabetes

  • Helps reduce post-meal blood sugar spikes

  • Sustained-release Metformin provides prolonged drug release

How to Use

Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with or after food. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not crush or chew the sustained-release tablet. Take it regularly at the recommended time and do not change the dose without medical advice.

Side Effects

Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, gas, bloating, headache, dizziness, or low blood sugar. Contact your doctor if side effects are severe or persistent.

Safety Advice

  • Monitor your blood sugar regularly as advised. Do not skip meals while taking this medicine.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. Inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems.

  • Tell your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are taking. Seek medical help if you experience severe symptoms of low blood sugar.

  • Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Know the signs of low blood sugar, such as sweating, shaking, hunger, dizziness, or confusion, and follow the action plan given by your healthcare professional.

  • Seek urgent help for severe weakness, unusual muscle pain, difficulty breathing, or marked drowsiness, especially during illness or dehydration.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

  3. When should I take this medicine?
Take it at the time and in relation to meals specified by your doctor and product label. Do not change the timing yourself.
